Cork International Youth Hostel is an ideal budget accommodation for travellers visiting Cork City. The lovely Victorian building is spacious, with 96 beds in ensuite rooms. It also has a self-catering kitchen and TV room.
Cork International Youth Hostel is situated in the heart of the city, by University College. It is a beautiful, red-brick Victorian building that can accommodate up to 96 people in a variety of rooms, all of which have ensuite bathrooms. The property also includes a TV room and self-catering kitchen, though groups may choose to have their meals catered.
As Ireland’s third largest city, Cork offers countless attractions and activities. Visitors won’t want to miss ringing the Bells of Shandon, and visiting St Finbarre’s and St Mary’s cathedrals, the medieval Red Abbey and the English Market.
Cork City is also a wonderful base for touring the region. About 10km northwest of the city, people will find (and kiss) the famous Blarney Stone. The Fota Wildlife Park, one of the region’s top attractions, is situated only 20 minutes east of Cork. Another wonderful day-trip option is Cobh, a picturesque port town known for its connection to Irish emigration and the ill-fated Titanic. It is a 30-minute drive from Cork City.
