Clonmel Rowing Club is based in the town of Clonmel, County Tipperary on the River Suir. It was established in 1869.

Clonmel Rowing Club was founded in 1869 and is one of the oldest sporting clubs in the town. They are located on an Island (Moors Island) situated about 500m from Clonmel town center in County Tipperary. The club was very successful in the early 1900's culminating in winning the senior men's eight championships, in 1920. They are affectionately known as 'The Island' by the townspeople of Clonmel.

In Winter, rowing training takes place on the river on a four mile stretch. This stretch is from the Clubhouse up to Knocklofty Bridge. In the Summer months this stretch is reduced to two miles as far as Sandybanks in Marlifield. The River Suir rises in North Tipperary and enters the sea at Waterford.

They have a purpose built boathouse constructed in 1979 with boats on the ground floor. Upstairs you will find two squash courts, a function hall and dressing rooms. Currently one squash court is been used as the gym.
