While visiting the Blackwater River why not take a walk around it on the Barane Looped Walk which follows the river Blackwater for approximately 1.5km, after which the river meanders away towards Castlehyde. The entire walk is 3km. Fermoy Golf Club is also close by and set on the sunny, south-facing slopes of Corrin Hill. This mature, 18-hole, par 70 heathland course was designed by John Harris and offers a varied and interesting challenge to both experienced and occasional golfers.
