A packed two-day open air festival of music, food, entertainment and activities.
Friends’ Goodwill Music Festival returns to Larne for a third year on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May.
One of Ireland’s most successful performers, Brian Kennedy, will appear on the Saturday with Goat’s Don’t Shave, closing on Sunday. A remembrance service will be held at the Friends’ Goodwill statue at Curran Park from 13:45 on Sunday. The new Cookery Theatre will feature cookery demonstrations from six chefs using local produce.
As well as top class music acts there will be a free hands on chocolate making workshop led by Willy Wonka’s cousin from Aunt Sandra’s Candy Factory. The workshops will run continually from 15:00 - 18:00 each day and you can pop back and collect your edible creation or feast as you go.
The main venue is Market Yard on Station Road, which will host lively sets from The Dangleberries (from Scotland), Dana Masters, Pigs and Pearls, Coach, Paul Sexton, The Music Yard, The Castaways, Keni Brownlow, Gaz, The Mr Beefy Trio, Zolene and the ALS Band. Compere for both days is Mark Dobbin.
