The Eany Water is about fifteen miles long and drains into Inver Bay in south Donegal. The grilse run peaks at the end of July and continues into August and there can be good salmon fishing in September. This is a typical spate river.

Located in at Inver/Frosses area in the south west of Donegal, the River Eany is a spate river system and is owned by the Central Fisheries Board and controlled by the Northern Regional Fisheries Board.

Fly fishing, worm and spinning are all allowed, but the use of prawn and shrimp is prohibited. It has a bag limit of three fish per day. The river gets a run of sea trout and the peak of the sea trout fishing is in early July.
