Shirley Gleeson is an accredited forest therapy guide who runs two-hour Shinrin-yoku experiences in the magical forest of Barnaslingan in the Dublin Mountains, just five miles up the road from Enniskerry. During the Shinrin-yoku sessions you will bathe yourself in the forest atmosphere, divorced from technology, screens, phones, and notifications; you are invited to reconnect with nature through mindfulness, sensory awareness, and expressive arts.

Researchers in both Japan and Korea have established a robust body of scientific research demonstrating that spending time under the canopy of living forest has significant health benefits for your stress levels, immune systems, sleep patterns, and mental health.
