Saturday 13th April 2019 Walk Glenbeigh to Glencar

Distance: 13km/ 8miles • Ascent 350m/1,150ft

This morning we walk on the Kerry Way from our accommodation in Glenbeigh, through the Windy Gap and downwards into the wooded valley of the Caragh River and storied Glencar. Tales of Fianna warrior bands and of Oisín’s return route from Tír na nÓg introduce us to the Celtic mythology of the area before finishing at The Climbers Inn, Glencar for a well-earned drink before being transferred back to our accommodation.

Reflect on the wonderful day’s walking over our evening meal followed by some light entertainment and a sing song!
