The walls and ceilings are lined with a collection of old pictures and photos, as well as Irish quotes and other interesting quotes. The pictures and paintings range from Michael Collins to John F. Kennedy’s visit to Cork in the 60's, to Rory Gallagher, Tom Barry and Johnny Rotten to name a few. Bar food is served all day from 8am until 7pm, with Carvery Lunches and deli from 12 noon to 4pm and an evening menu till 7pm. The Oliver Plunkett is open from 8am Monday to Friday and 9am till late on Saturday and 12-till late on Sunday.

Weekly Sessions like Open Mic, Fantastic Trad Sessions accompanied from time to time by Irish Dancers and Jamming Sessions are complemented by variety of great bands and talented performers like The Kilkennys, Andy Dunne or Roy Buckley! Music is ranging from Celtic Rock, Irish Folk, and Rock to Blues or Jazz.The Oliver Plunkett has become a New Platform for Cork bands to promote themselves.
