Drimnagh Castle was, until 1954, one of the oldest continually inhabited castles in Ireland and is an example of an old feudal stronghold. It is located in the South West of Dublin City and can be hired for public events.
Drimnagh Castle in South West Dublin City consists of a restored Great Hall and a medieval undercroft, a tall battlement tower with lookout posts and other separate buildings. It is the only Irish castle still to be surrounded by a flooded moat.
A popular feature of Drimnagh Castle is the garden – designed in a formal 17th century layout.
Drimnagh Castle Christian Brothers School is located next to the site of the castle.
