The Humanitarian Symphony Orchestra is based in Drumcondra and has a stated mission to enrich, inspire, and serve the community.
The Humanitarian Symphony Orchestra (HSO) is directed by Louise Mooney and Ian O’Maonaigh who founded the orchestra in 2015.
The HSO is based in Drumcondra and has a stated mission to enrich, inspire, and serve the community. Their performances raising money for a number of charitable organisations. It is a voluntary organisation that sees musicians donate their time and talents to share music with the community.
This performance will take place in Our Lady of Dolours Parish Church on Botanic Road in Glasnevin, and will feature a varied musical programme featuring a beautiful piece from 20th century Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, a selection of Johannes Brahms’ lively Hungarian Dances, excerpts from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, and even some renditions of standards like New York, New York.
