Recovered Voices is an exhibition that explores the experiences of Irish men and women during World War I.

Recovered Voices is an exhibition that explores the experiences of Irish men and women during World War I.

Over 60,000 Irishmen contributed to the British armed forces in the Great War, from the green fields of France to Gallipoli in Turkey. Their contribution to the war was made even more politically complicated by Ireland’s relationship with Britain at the time and its own drive for self-determination.

This public tour will guide visitors through the Recovered Voices exhibition, exploring the both the narratives and the artefacts which have remained from this disastrous war.
