Ardtarmon Cottages are five comfortable, charming traditional cottages. Situated in a wonderfully secluded and scenic setting amongst mature grounds, overlooking the sea and mountains around Sligo Bay. Located less than 20 kilometres from Sligo town

Ardtarmon Cottages are five comfortable, unique, traditional cottages ranging from one-bedroom to three-bedroom cottages (comprising nine bedrooms in total and sleeping up to 21 persons ). They are ideal for singles, couples, families, and groups.

The Gate Lodge built in 1884 is a compact house with views of the tree-lined avenue, the willow plantation, marsh and fields to the west. The sitting room and dining area has a wood-burning stove. The kitchen has all essential equipment and there are three small bedrooms. One is a double, one a twin bed attic bedroom, and one with a single or optional bunk bed. There is a small shower room. Heating is electric and solid fuel. Sleeps six maximum. The Gate Lodge is 350 metres from the main house and other cottages.

The Thatched Cottage, the original family homestead, faces the tree-lined front lawn beside the main house. It has a compact sitting-room with a wood-burning stove. The kitchen and dining area have all essential equipment. There is a bathroom with shower. The bedrooms are small, one is a double, the other has an option of single- or bunk bed. An additional fold-up bed can be placed in the outer sitting room, which has an arched divide from the inner room. Wood-chip central heating and electric convector. Sleeps five maximum.

The Garden Cottage is stone-built with a combined sitting and dining room. There are two larger bedrooms, one a double, the other a twin or triple. Shower room and kitchen contains all essential equipment. There are views of the stone-built yard and the old garden. Wood-chip central heating and electric convector. Sleeps five maximum.

The Harness Cottage has a sitting room with open fire, and a large double bedroom with optional extra single bed. A separate kitchen and dining area. Shower room. Wood-chip central heating and electric convector. Sleeps three maximum.

The Barn Cottage has a small combined sitting room with kitchen and dining area. Double bedroom with shower room. Wood-chip heating and electric convector. Sleeps two maximum.

A short-rotation coppice willow plantation and wood-chip boiler provide heat for the Cottages and Main House. The Gate Lodge is independently heated. The traditional stable has table tennis and can serve as a communal room. The extensive wooded grounds are available for walking and exploring and have marvellous views of the countryside, mountains and sea up to 80 kilometres away. There is a 500 metre path to the sea shore at the north side of Sligo Bay, from which walks of many miles may begin. Raghly Harbour is three kilometres away.

Sligo (biggest town in the Northwest), the famous Ben Bulben and Knocknarea mountains, the beautiful Glencar Lake and Lough Gill, and the seaside resorts of Rosses Point, Mullaghmore, and Bundoran are all within 30 kilometres.
