UpRiver is an outdoor pursuits company based in Ballinasloe, County Galway, on the River Suck. It was founded in 2000 close to the ford which was and still is, the gateway to the West of Ireland.

UpRiver offers experiences to people of all abilities who are visiting the heart of Ireland. UpRiver is based on the River Suck in County Galway. All kinds of group outings are catered for including canoe safaris, night excursions, orienteering, camping, tours, relaxing paddles on the river, adult kayaking lessons, corporate team building events, zorbing plus kids ‘kayaktivity’ summer camps.

UpRiver kayaktivity camps use lots of games, group activities, raft building and river exploration plus river habitat, environment and local history education. Water safety and awareness are taught while getting lots of exercise and having lots of team fun in a secure, controlled environment by experienced instructors. Camps run from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday at the new location at Croffy’s Yard in the centre of Ballinasloe. All gear is provided including wetsuits, cags and buoyancy aids.

Why not try Harness or Hydro Zorbing? Zorbing Ballinasloe has a fully landscaped zorbing run, approximately 200 metres from launching pad to landing point.

Adult kayaking courses are offered all year round. The complete course consists of five lessons.

UpRiver also offer corporate team building events featuring kayaking, camping and orienteering.
