Magnificent coastal scenery including the Giant's Causeway
Please note: Due to filming, public access is not permitted along part of East Strand and Whiterocks beach, and also Whiterocks cliff path, and the coast road between Dunluce Castle and Whiterocks, during the period 11th-15th June 2018 and 18th-19th June 2018. Please follow A2 Dunluce Road from Portrush towards Whiterocks and follow diversion signs.
This route, from Portstewart to Ballycastle, passes through the Causeway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a World Heritage Site and several Areas of Special Scientific Interest. It includes views of wide bays, sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and off-shore rocks.
Please note: Diversion via Glenstaughey Road - This is an interim measure to address the issue of the on road section between Ballintoy and Ballycastle on the Causeway Coast Way, Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council will continue to work towards an off road coastal path.
Please Note: During the period 11th - 15th June 2018 the following section of the CCW will be closed for filming purposes: The section from East Strand beach, passing through Whiterocks beach and cliff path to Dunluce Castle. Please use alternative route along Dunluce Road and Ballymagarry Road (please note there is no footway on this road).
