Ger’s Wild Atlantic Diner – Convenience on the Wild Atlantic Way! Located beside the famous Leim Uí Dhonnabháin ravine which gives the village of Leap its name.

Serving fresh local ingredients, and the quick service operation is one step ahead of the fast pace of life in the modern world.

Specialities:
Breakfast – serving full Irish breakfast all day.
Fish & chips – The fish is sourced fresh from Union Hall, 3km away, and the chips are always homemade.
Homemade burgers – The farmhouse burgers are 1/4lb and prepared from the finest Irish beef.

Also serving teas, coffees, soft drinks and ice creams.

Léim Uí Dhonnabháin (Gaelic) derives from an ancient story of a local chieftain, O'Donovan, who while being pursued by British soldiers jumped the ravine and escaped his enemy, thus O'Donovan's Leap. This steep gorge over which the road passes beside Ger’s Wild Atlantic Diner divides East Carbery from West Carbery. The western half was always considered a wild and fugitive country..."beyond the Leap, beyond the law".
