Temple Café in Galway started by Father and Son, Steve and Sebastian, their aim is providing delicious homemade food. They use locally sourced, organic ingredients as much as possible.
The ethos of the café is to use as a local, organic, ecologically sound and homemade produce as possible, and they are working with many local artisan producers, so watch out for them on the menu. Where they can’t get local they go national. Vegetarian and vegan options are a large focus with options such as their organic beetroot burger, falafel hot dog and a multitude vegan cakes, wraps, sandwiches and treats. They also serve meat and try to accommodate for all types of eaters. They have a variety of dairy and gluten free options and try to cater for allergies when available.
The focus may be on food but they also serve Irish roasted coffee and have a variety of hot bevarages and fresh organic smoothies and juices. They want their customers to see the value of food, to see how what we eat affects how we feel, while also enjoying eating and drinking high quality produce made with care and passion. Open Monday to Saturday from 8am – 5.30pm call in for breakfast, lunch or simply a coffee and homemade scone. Remember support local, it takes you to start the trend.
Temple Café is a vibrant Social Business, inspired by the work of Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. This means that their profits will be donated to local charities. Started by Father and Son, Steve and Sebastian, they will be working in association with COPE, SERVE and many other charities, and the aim is to help raise awareness and funds for many local charities carrying out great work around Galway and Ireland.
