The town of Gorey is home to the South East and County Wexford's first skate park. The skate park was designed and constructed by Freestyle Skateparks UK. About 450m2 of concrete skatepark, with bowl and street areas for all levels.
Gorey Skate park is a public skate park located in Gorey County Wexford. Catering for skateboarders, rollerbladers and bmx, this 450 metres squared concrete structure is for users aged six years and upwards.
Parents and guardians are advised to supervise children under 12. Full safety gear is required - Helmets and pads. It is advised that the park should only be visited when the weather is good and the park surface is dry.
Membership to Gorey Skate club is available at an annual rate but access to the skate park itself is available free of charge. Soldiers of Skate is an annual skateboarding competition run during the summer by Gorey Skate Club for competitors of all age groups.
