This beautiful coastal walk overlooking the Irish Sea will bring you to Knockinelder Bay where you will see spectacular coastal scenery and unique rock formations and learn how they were formed. Take in the abundant wildlife around you. Kearney is a fascinating village with a rich social history. Hear stories of a brilliant poet, smuggling, shipwrecks and more…. The village was the setting for the filming of My Mother and Other Strangers which was shown recently on RTE and BBC1. Nearby romantic Quintin Castle is one of the few Anglo-Norman castles still lived in today. Parking and start point: Kearney village. Toilet available beside carpark. The walk is on flat tracks and a quiet country road.
