Developed by the council in partnership with Banbridge District Sports Association, the Active Communities Programme and Banbridge District Arts Committee, this year’s varied programme offers a great range of fun activities that will cater for the needs of children and young people with different interests.

Delivered by experienced coaches and tutors, the vast range of sports and arts activities will aim to promote values of respect and friendship, enabling children and young people to have fun, meet new friends, learn new skills and develop new interests.

For sports enthusiasts there is a wide range of activities to choose from including angling, athletics, badminton, canoeing, dance, multi sports, squash, tennis, and table tennis.

For those who prefer more creative activities, there’s an array of arts and crafts courses including canvas art, kite making, musical madness, papier mache, t-shirt making and much, much more. Even the tiny tots in the 0-2 year age group are well catered for with songs, stories and nursery rhymes courses available for children and parents/carers.

Details of all activities and courses are included in the programme guide which is available from all Council facilities including the Civic Building, Banbridge Leisure Centre, Dromore Community Centre, Gilford Community Centre, Rathfriland Community Centre, Banbridge Old Town Hall and the F.E. McWilliam Gallery and Studio.

Dates, fees and age groups vary by course and early booking is strongly recommended as places are limited.

For further information about the summer activity programme, contact the Banbridge District Council’s Leisure and Development Department on T: (028) 4066 0605.
