Officially opened by championship golfer, Fred Daly in 1990 after over two years design work. Frank Ainsworth of Malone Golf Club, Belfast, designed the layout which converted arable farmland into a very enjoyable parkland course. Over the years, Ashfield has been continuously enhanced with thousands of trees of many varieties, new lakes, maturing greens and larger tee boxes. A course with a great future.
