Doonbeg River is a great salmon and sea trout river in County Claire. It rises in Lissycasey and flows westwards through Cooraclare and Doonbeg to the sea. It gets a small run of spring salmon and a fair run of grilse and sea trout from June.
Doonbeg is a sandy beach located in Doonbeg, County Clare. It is in a designated Natural Heritage Area of ecological importance and also a Special area of Conservation (SAC).
The Doonbeg walk is 8.6Km walk and begins at the Kilrush Road. The Slí na Sláinte Map Board is located in the small park of Doonbeg Village.
