Áras an Mhuilinn, situated at the bottom of Mount Street in Mullingar, is a state of the art cultural facility in which traditional music, dance and Irish language classes are run on a weekly basis.

Áras an Mhuilinn is the regional Comhaltas centre serving the midland counties of Laois, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath. Comhaltas promotes Irish music and culture around the world. Áras an Mhuilinn is located in the town of Mullingar in the centre of Ireland about one hour west of Dublin. The centre has nearby public car parking, toilets and is accessible to disabled persons. A lift is located in the centre. A variety of Irish music, dance and language classes take place in Áras an Mhuilinn and it is available for room hire. Shop displaying traditional Irish music CDs and books is located onsite. Free music session held on the third Wednesday of every month.

Áras an Mhuilinn is located within walking distance of Mullingar town centre. It is located approximately 10 minutess walking distance from local railway and bus station. The town of Mullingar is well served by a variety of pubs, shops and restaurants. Áras an Mhuilinn is situated at the bottom of Mount Street, which is host to a number of bright cafés and quaint pubs.

Local attractions include Cathedral of Christ the King and Mullingar Greyhound stadium in Mullingar town. Belvedere House Gardens and Park and Mullingar Golf Course are both 5 kilometres south of Mullingar. The Kilbeggan Distillery Experience is in nearby Kilbeggan which is where the Kilbeggan horse races are also held. Located in the lakelands region of Ireland, several lakes are just a few minutes away by car from Mullingar including Loughs Owel, Ennell and a little further away is Lough Derrvaragh. Athlone, the largest town on the River Shannon is just 45 minutes by car.
