The Mayo North Heritage Centre is the genealogy centre for people of North Mayo looking to research their family history. This Centre is a founder member of the Irish Family History Foundation and is part of the national network of family history research centres.

Visitors to the Centre can also enjoy the museum with household and agricultural machinery and a trip to see the working blacksmith in the forge, where blacksmithing course are also held.

The Centre's reception area has a shop with many exclusive items: antique and contemporary collectables, linen, lace and many other attractive and unusual items are to be found there. The shop also features the work of local potter, Kay Ellen.

There is also an organic vegetable garden, pleasure grounds extending to the shores of Lough Conn and a Victorian walled garden that dates back to the 18th century.

A tearoom overlooks the walled garden where visitors can take a break and enjoy the atmosphere.
