Russborough 18th century walled garden. The newly restored 18th century walled garden will be open during July and August on Wednesday - Sunday from 10.30 am - 3.30pm and other afternoons from 2pm -5pm. and not to be missed is an intricate maze, suitable for visitors of all ages.
The gardens of Russborough also feature a wildlife habitat with a decking area, where families can enjoy feeding the local ducks. A playground is located on the grounds, making Russborough House and Gardens in County Wicklow the ideal family destination.
The restoration work is impressive and includes reinstating the garden paths to their original layout and dimensions. There have been repairs made to the surrounding brick and stone walls using traditional techniques and materials, replanting of the hornbeam hedge, and restoring the curvilinear glasshouse, using curved glass as originally designed. The overgrown vegetable garden is being set to rights and work is being carried out to restore the Pleasure Garden.
