Kilmokea Gardens are peaceful and spiritual, laid out around a pretty Georgian house overlooking the River Barrow in Campile, County Wexford. Come and visit these wonderful gardens and enjoy the exciting display of exotic plants.
The gardens at Kilmokea cover nearly seven acres and and were originally started in 1947. The walled garden has winding paths, providing an exciting display of exotic plants. With over 130 different species, the garden is a delight to both the keen amateur and the more serious horticulturalist.
A guided tour of the garden is offered to all groups, but must be booked in advance. This tour includes information on the history of the house and garden as well as the Anglo Norman homestead, Viking settlement and monastic site, all of which were situated on the grounds of Kilmokea.
The conservatory tea rooms are open from 12 noon to 5pm daily from March to November. A selection of home baked cakes, scones and tarts are served all day.
