Ireland's biggest architecture festival where buildings of all types open their doors to allow visitors explore the architecture, with special tours by professionals and enthusiasts, all for free!
Open House Dublin is Ireland's biggest architecture festival. Over one weekend, many great Dublin buildings of all types and periods will open up their doors to allow citizens and visitors explore the architecture of their city, with special tours by hundreds of professionals and enthusiasts, completely for free.
All buildings in Open House Dublin are chosen to surprise and delight the public, with many of the venues new to the programme and each one offering a unique insight into Dublin's architectural story. Open House Dublin is presented by the Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF) and is part of the Open House Worldwide Family. The IAF, who delivered its first Open House Dublin in 2006, has firmly established the project as Ireland's largest architectural event with an estimated 30,000 visits in 2012. Established in 2005, the IAF's role is to be a vibrant and passionate organisation that excites its audiences about the value of architecture. The Irish Architecture Foundation is funded by the Arts Council, the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, the Office of Public Works and the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland.
