For one weekend the town of Tralee runs away with the circus in an explosion of theatre, laughter, skill and absurdity!
The National Circus Festival of Ireland is an explosion of national and international circus talent. Be amazed and laugh yourself silly. Brighten up your winter and run away with the circus at this festival, featuring two days of shows, a festival club, a circus convention and a full adults and children's workshop programme.
It is a way for the diverse strands of a contemporary circus culture to meet, share ideas, fun and create an Irish expression for this exciting art form. Over the years the festival has evolved to be Ireland's annual contemporary circus festival.
At the heart of the festival is Circus Siamsa, a public variety show held in Siamsa Tíre Theatre, which is the national showcase for contemporary urban circus and features top national and international performers handpicked and hosted by the Fanzini Brothers.
Previous years have featured internationally renowned acts such as contemporary clown, Leandre Ribera, the amazing Gandini Jugglers and award winning Irish acts, Tumble Circus and Lords of Strut.
The festival offers world-class talent. So, brighten up your winter and release your inner clown!
