In addition to the competitions, choirs and visitors alike are invited to come to Kenmare to begin their Christmas shopping and to partake in the festive concerts and events planned for the weekend. Events include an opening Gala Concert on Friday evening, impromptu choral singing on the streets and in restaurants, pubs and hotels, other concerts and fun competitions. The festival will end on Sunday with the very popular Festival Christmas Concert of massed choirs and the audience singing beautiful Christmas and seasonal music in Holy Cross Church.
