Whitby, at the Bram Stoker festival, will be a much-anticipated show by the very dynamic dancer Colin Dunne and theatremaker Joan Sheehy. You can marvel at it when it is staged at Dublin's oldest theatre, the Smock Alley.
Whitby, at the Bram Stoker festival, will be a much-anticipated show by the very dynamic dancer Colin Dunne and theatremaker Joan Sheehy.
This piece of dance theatre follows Dracula’s journey from Romania to Whitby, a coastal resort in northeast England on The Demeter.
You’ll watch Colin and his fellow dancers, Martha Dunlea and Patrick Ryan, pick up on the gothic revival themes which make Dracula such a dark and fascinating story as they defy gravity with their intricate dance moves.
There is also a brilliant creative team behind this show; composer Tom Lane will be on sound design duties while costume design will be masterminded by Liv Monaghan.
