The Green, Stradbally, Laois,
Mr Mick Dunne

The Steam Museum at The Green, Stradbally, County Laois, houses many steam, fire and farm engines. It is a great family museum run by the Irish Steam Preservation Society.

The steam museum, in Stradbally County Laois, displays a fine collection of steam, fire and farm engines. It offers a great family weekend excursion.

The displays include a Land Rover fire engine which was stationed at Stradbally fire station in approximately 1950, an example of the first narrow gauge railway in Ireland, a Guinness locomotive, which was used around the Guinness Brewery streets over 50 years ago and there is even a home made steam tractor.
