The River Deele flows into the main river Foyle one mile below the Lifford Bridge. It is traditionally known as an excellent sea trout river from June onwards.
The River Deele is traditionally known as an excellent sea trout river however it also gets a reasonably good run of summer salmon from early July. The Season is from 1st April to 20th October.
Mepps spinner or bait methods are most popular on the river. Fly-fishing is not popular but some stretches will suit this method. The most popular stretch of water is from the town land of Gobnascale downstream to Convoy.
