Scattery Island Tours offer a daily scheduled ferry service to Scattery Island, located of the West Coast of Clare. The service operates between May and September, seven days a week, with increased sailing during the peak months of June to August.
Visitors can enjoy the benefits of a free guided tours of the Island between the months of June and August. Scattery island has 6 churches, a lighthouse and an artillary battery, all on an island just 3 km long. Packed lunch service is also available.
Visitors can prebook their sailing on line at www.scatteryislandtours.com or buy a ticket before sailing at our ticket office located at Kilrush Marina.

The island is just short trip away and visitors will remain on the island for a period of approximately two hours or longer (depending on tides).
The island offers a range of historic and interesting sites, along with a range of wild fauna and is an ideal location for those interested in bird watching. Believed to be the burial place of St. Senan, the Irish name for the Scattery island is "Inis Cathaigh", translated as the "Island of the battle".
