A communicant of the Church of Ireland until his early twenties, he was introduced to Irish nationalism and Gaelic culture becoming a self-taught Gaeilgeoir.
Iain Frazer's presentation of his life and times will explore the social environment that shaped his life and influenced his work as arguably Ireland’s greatest dramatist. This event is part of the Home of St Patrick Festival.
