The De Pont Museum was founded in the early 1990s as a part of the legacy of the lawyer and entrepreneur Jan de Pont, who had decided before his death to dedicate a sizeable portion of his assets contemporary visual arts. The museum’s collection is defined by its depth rather than its breadth, concentrating on the works of a small and slowly expanding collection of important contemporary artists.
This show will highlight the Kerlin’s reputation as one of Ireland’s most prestigious contemporary art institutions and bring the spirit of De Pont to Dublin.
