    Amazing Landscapes
1 hr 42 mins from Cork Airport

Picture yourself standing amongst the fragrant beauty of a fairytale-style woodland, imagine being surrounded by cascades of spectacular colour in a walled garden, or how about the pure romance of a bluebell-filled trail.

These experiences can all be found in one of the world’s largest private collections of plants on the edge of the flowing waters of the River Suir in County Waterford.

These beloved gardens were conceived by Ambrose Congreve whose interest in plants and flowers stemmed back to his teens. In the 1960s, Congreve was joined by Herman Dool and the two men began creating a process that transformed Mount Congreve into one of the great gardens of the world. Today, the 70-acre landscape can be best explored on a tour – listen as your guide tells stories from the garden, enjoy bountiful botanical displays and discover the restorative powers of this beautiful natural space.
