A spirited attraction (in more ways than one) in the heart of Dublin city.
Now, this is our kind of museum! The Irish Whiskey Museum, located just across the street from Trinity College Dublin, takes you on a journey through Irish history, highlighting how important this legendary spirit is to the island. In Gaelic, we do call whiskey “uisce beatha” (water of life), after all. From the classic guided tour to the Irish coffee masterclass, there are a number of whiskey-fuelled experiences to enjoy. All of which end with a whiskey tasting where you can savour some of the top Irish whiskey brands. If you LOVE whiskey, this attraction is a must. If you like the occasional pour or an old fashioned now and then, you’ll still really enjoy your visit.
No trip here is complete without stopping into McDonnell’s Whiskey Bar at the location. The charmingly retro pub serves up an extensive selection of Irish whiskeys as well as deliciously crafted cocktails. Lastly, don’t miss the museum’s retail store, which has an eclectic array of Irish whiskey souvenirs and gifts on offer. Why not pick up that rare single malt you’ve been eyeing up for a while? It’ll be the perfect way to remember this fun spot.
