This It’s a Wild Game event will take place in collaboration with Castle Grove Country House in Letterkenny, Donegal on Saturday 30 November 2019 to highlight the winter ingredients, producers and storytellers from the Wild Atlantic Way.

Beginning at 17:00 at Castle Grove Country House, you will be welcomed by the Sweeney family and their team for an evening of producer chats, storytelling, folklore and traditional Irish music showcasing the old-world winter offering in the unique surrounds of a 17th Century Georgian House.

Chef Paul Brady and team will present a family-style feast lite by candlelight and open fires to celebrate Wild Game and its winter bounty. Dinner will be served alongside craft beers by Kinnegar Brewing, low intervention wines from Wines Direct and Castle Grove’s very own cider.

Guests staying at Castle Grove Country House are welcome to arrive at 2pm to explore the house and grounds. Checkout is at 12pm the next day.

About Paul Brady and Castle Grove Country House

Paul Brady is the Head Chef at Castle Grove Country House, located on the shores of Lough Swilly, Co. Donegal. Paul follows a top to toe cooking philosophy, which allows all ingredients to be used to their full potential with as little waste as possible. He enjoys showcasing the exceptional produce available locally and from Castle Grove's very own walled gardens.

Set on a 250-acre private estate, Castle Grove boasts a beautiful 17th Century Georgian House, grounds and walled garden. In 1989, the Sweeney family took up residence in Castle Grove, proudly transforming the property into a luxury, four-star country house retreat while upholding its traditions by respectfully maintaining the character, elegance and beauty of the original house and its tranquil and expansive surroundings. The Walled Garden, which dates back to the 19th Century, provides a sheltered onsite environment, where they grow fruits, herbs and seasonal vegetables for use within in their Michelin recommended restaurant.
