Waterford Music Series presents Michael McHale, piano as one of eight evening concerts by a variety of Irish & internationally renowned musicians to be held in the Large Room, City Hall Waterford from September 2019 to April 2020.
Waterford Music was founded in June 1942 for the promotion of chamber music, supporting local artists and inviting distinguished artists from worldwide to perform at Waterford’s Georgian Large Room, City Hall. Today it presents eight chamber music concerts during each season from September to April.
Pianist Michael McHale has put together a beautiful programme especially for Waterford Music to celebrate the sestercentennial anniversary of the birth of the great Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). He will play two of Beethoven’s best known piano sonatas together with music by later Romantic composers, and two short traditional pieces that he himself has arranged and recorded.
