Light House Cinema focuses its attention on the still spellbinding work of the Monty Python gang.
Having already paid tribute to two great contemporary American auteurs in recent months with their PT Anderson 35mm Retrospective, and Wes Anderson season, Light House Cinema now turns its attention to the still spellbinding work of the Monty Python gang.
Across April and May, Light House will screen a season of films from the silly, surreal, and ingenious minds of Graham Chapman, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones, John Cleese and Michael Palin.
As Easter Sunday is also April Fool’s Day this year, the season kicks off with a screening of Monty Python’s Life of Brian, the seminal work of satire which remains uproariously funny to this day. Many of Terry Gilliam’s films will feature, including the bureaucratic dystopia of Brazil and his Quixotic documentary, The Man from La Mancha, as well as the Terry Jones-penned Labyrinth.
A fantastic treat for all Python fans, as well as a perfect opportunities to introduce Python into someone’s life.
