Doolin Hostel was renovated in 2016/17 and is a modern family run 42 person hostel with a country house feel. The longest establish Fáilte Ireland Approved Hostel in Ireland it is the ideal base for exploring the Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, the Burren and Doolin area. Go exploring historic forts and castles, discover Doolin Cave, go hiking on one of the many trails or take the challenge of Surfing, Rock Climbing, Horse Riding, Sea kayaking or Bouldering on the massive boulders thrown up by the Wild Atlantic along the Doolin Coast.
At night relax by the stove fire with a good book or tap feet to the rhythm of the live traditional Irish music that is played in the local pubs nightly year round. Check out one of the many festivals hosted throughout the year such as the Doolin Folk Festival in June or the Micho Russell Memorial Weekend in February.
Doolin Hostel is ideal for families, couples and groups (please note stag, hen or similar parties are not permitted). For outdoor activity groups and enthusiasts there is an outdoor gear wash and dry area. Plus new in 2019 is a dedicated conference room for classes and team building activities for up to 50 persons. Adjacent to Doolin Hostel is the Doolin Inn which can help cater for group meals and has an onsite coffee dock open daily from 08:00 to 21:00 and an evening restaurant.
