A free, family-friendly celebration of bicycle culture. Join in and explore the city, tour the countryside, or sign up for a workshop – from beginner to expert, all are welcome!
The 7th annual Cork Cycling Festival is a free, family-friendly celebration of bicycle culture. Whether you are an experienced cyclist or can barely tell the difference between a unicycle and a tandem, you are sure to find something your speed during this week on (usually) two wheels!
Uncover the hidden stories of the city, cycle along the harbour, and visit neighbouring towns, beaches, forests, and waterfalls.
Lunchtime and evening cycles will guide you through the history, art, music, and culture of Cork. Or, once you have had enough of the city, pack a lunch and explore the countryside on a longer touring cycle. Weekends will include family and picnic cycles, cycling games in the park, bike decorating, and the always-popular My Lovely Bike contest!
There are plenty of off-bike options if you need a rest. Learn more about your bike and how it works during a repair workshop and demonstration or come along for an evening of cycling-relating films. After touring the art exhibit, you will even be able to work with Cork artists to make your own piece of cycling art!
Events are open to everyone regardless of age or cycling experience. It is hoped that the fun of the festival encourages people to cycle in their daily lives whether to work, school, college, the shops, the cinema or even to the sea and mountains!
