Home of St Patrick Festival
In Armagh, where St Patrick's legacy is still felt today, you can celebrate the life of Ireland’s patron saint at the Home of St Patrick Festival. Expect a lively and varied showcase of the best culture, music, song and dance in the place St Patrick called his “sweet little hill”.
There’s lots to look forward to in 2026, from the Sunrise at Navan event at Navan Fort to the St Patrick’s open-air concert in the centre of the city, with the Tumbling Paddies and guests. Irish country music star Cliona Hagan will play a concert at the Market Place, and there’s a free-to-attend Live Music Trail, featuring 20 acts across 12 venues. Elsewhere, look out for fun events including a Uketrad Workshop, a St Patrick’s Stained Glass Workshop and an Irish coffee masterclass. It’s a jam-packed schedule for everyone to enjoy.

St Patrick is known around the world, but it is the island of Ireland that made him a legend. While his journey can be traced all around the island, it is Armagh that is the heart of celebrating the life of St Patrick – where the patron saint founded his first large stone church. Armagh city now has two cathedrals in his name, and of course, the Home of St Patrick Festival!
