St Patrick’s Day Festival, Dublin
The St Patrick’s Day Festival in Dublin is a bucket-list experience. Over half a million spectators are expected to descend upon the city to witness marching bands, acrobats, dancers and more.
With over 4000 people from across the globe participating in the parade, it’s an eclectic mix of culture, performance and pageantry, and the LGBTQ+ community can be found right at the heart of the action. Look out for The Outing Queer Arts Collective’s “Rainbow Pageant” float in the parade this year!
“Our Rainbow Pageant is a celebration of self-expression and creativity, allowing us to proudly share our stories and culture with the world,” says Eddie McGuinness, Director of The Outing Festival.
Pantibar, Dublin
St Patrick’s Day celebrations don’t stop at the parade. Events including street theatre, neurodivergent-friendly performances and the rollicking Céilí Mór will be taking place in venues across the city.
And when it comes to kicking back and partying during this exciting long weekend, Dublin’s LGBTQ+ community have got you covered.
Popular nightclub Mother is the place to be on St Patrick’s Day Eve. They have a huge night planned with three rooms of music from Mother’s DJs such as Rocky T Delgado, DJ GLAMO and DJ Jamie G.
For a taste of true LGBTQ+ royalty, you’re going to want to take your celebrations to Pantibar which is owned by none other than the unofficial queen of Ireland, drag queen Panti Bliss. A fantastic night of music and fun can always be expected at this much-loved staple in Dublin’s LGBTQ+ scene.
