Suas Climbing Centre is an indoor rock climbing facility, located in the Burlington Business and Leisure Park in Clonlara, County Clare. It is a convenient 10 minute drive from Limerick City, a short 2km walk from the University of Limerick, and a 45 minute drive from Ennis. You may never have climbed, or you could be regular climber, but whatever your level, Suas Climbing Centre can cater for you. People sometimes worry that they won't be fit enough, have the right equipment or maybe they fear heights. It's then about working to feel safe, and overcoming any fears with guidance, practice, and more practice. You will soon find out that climbing is for everyone, and as an added bonus, you will build your fitness as you go along. The facility is home to a 10m high roped climbing wall and a state of the art 4.5m high bouldering wall with angles ranging from slab to dramatic overhang. The lead and top rope walls have thirty lines with approximately three routes per line. The provision of twelve fixed top ropes ensures that every level is catered for, and is suitable for beginners as well as experienced climbers. Suas Climbing Centre caters for corporate team building, school groups and tours, transition year coaching programmes, private climbing groups, kids camps, birthday parties and kids climbing clubs. They are also providers of NICAS (national indoor climbing award scheme).
