Nestled amidst picturesque forestry on three sides, Slieve Aughty Riding Centre boasts a diverse array of well trained horses and ponies catering to riders of all levels, ages, and preferences. Embark on guided forest horse riding treks tailored to your skill level, ranging from 40 minutes to a full day of adventure. The certified instructors offer specialised lessons in dressage, show jumping and cross country riding, accommodating those seeking leisurely exploration and those craving intensive training. For the daring, their expansive cross country course spans 20 acres of open fields and woodland, featuring over 40 natural obstacles, including banks, water jumps, and stone walls. Feel free to bring your own horse and immerse yourself in the facilities for a memorable day or holiday experience. Families are warmly welcomed, with provisions for beginners and non riders alike. While off the saddle, explore their arts and crafts room, enchanted forest, toddler playground, or simply take a serene garden or forest stroll perhaps accompanied by a friendly donkey. Our all weather arena ensures optimal conditions for warm ups and instruction. Safety is paramount, all riders must wear approved helmets, and body protectors are mandatory for cross country jumping. The facility provides basic riding gear, excluding body protectors, and encourages guests to bring their own for personalised comfort. Additional amenities include a classroom, locker room and bathroom facilities for your convenience. Recharge at the Slieve Aughty Woods Café, where you can enjoy delicious organic meals and a comforting post ride cup of tea. Experience the beauty of Slieve Aughty Riding Centre, where adventure meets tranquility amidst nature's embrace.
