The Great Blasket Island Experience allows guests to overnight in unique Irish lodgings surrounded by scenery, nature and history in one of the most beautiful and untouched locations in Ireland. There are three cottages available to rent – accommodation consists of two bedrooms, a living area with stove, dining/kitchenette room with stove (four gas hobs, a sink and kitchen utensils for self-catering services), a bathroom with hand-towels (larger towels provided for upon request). Fire buckets are complimentary with all private house bookings. Private double, single and family rooms are available upon request. Please note facilities are limited on the Great Blasket Island. Accommodation has no electricity, WiFi, or electronic devices, however offers experiences such as camp fires, sunsets, nature and history. All sailings to and from the island are weather dependent. Mobile phone reception is available. Please bring all food needed. Basic self-catering breakfast is provided in the hostel. This accommodation is not for everyone, but to date there has been great feedback and customer satisfaction from the Great Blasket Island Experience. Operating a ferry service to the Great Blasket Island from both Dingle and Dunquin. Dingle departure the best way to see Dingle Bay - 1.5 hour Eco tour of Dingle Peninsula and Blasket Islands, geology, caves, coves, marine life, Fungi, puffins and seals @ €60 per person. Dunquin departure - Direct 10 minute crossing @ €35 per adult, €15 per child under 4's go free - times vary depending on tide.
