“Galway Comedy Festival. An inspired selection of comedy brilliance” The Irish Times

6 major headliners have already been announced.… including comedy superstar and Liverpudlian legend, John Bishop, Today FM ledgebags, Dermot & Dave, understated genius Ardal O’Hanlon, controversial and hilarious Reginald D Hunter, online comedy sensation Enya Martin, and possibly the grouchiest comedian on the planet Rich Hall. The full festival programme will be revealed on Tuesday 13th August.

“As with all of the finest festivals, it features a selection of the best acts plus a few special treats that you’re unlikely to see anywhere else.”
The Guardian

The Festival aims to deliver an extensive and eclectic programme of the best of Irish and international comedy each year. Featuring established and emerging talent in venues of varying intimacy throughout the city & county, the festival provides local, national and international audiences with an opportunity to experience Galway in a very special way. The vibrancy of the West Coast and the beauty of Galway’s hinterland combine to attract artists and audiences in the midst of Winter to what is arguably Ireland’s favourite festival city. The amazing scenery and Wild Atlantic Way experiences by day, world class comedy shows by night.
