See what Ireland has in store for you
Sliabh Liag Boat Tours operate tours to the magnificent Sliabh Liag Cliffs, standing 600 metres (1,972 feet) high. The boat tour will get you close to the shore to appreciate this spectacular sight. Sliabh Liag Boat Tours operate from April to October, and sometimes earlier or later if weather is suitable. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours and takes in many wonderful sights. Tours depart from Teelin Pier which is about an hour west of Donegal Town. The boats on tour are often accompanied by wildlife like dolphins, whales and seals. In May and June, you will often see basking sharks feeding on the plankton. There is also a wide range of bird life that can be seen nesting and hunting. Sliabh Liag Boat Tours also offer swimming trips to the crystal clear water of the many coves off the coast. Wetsuits are provided. Angling trips are available, with the evening fishing trip being very popular with family groups. The music boat tours have been mostly spontaneous over the years but are now a regular featured tour. Private tours are available and catering and entertainment can be arranged. Sliabh Liag Boat Tours have four licensed boats and each boat can carry up to 12 passengers. Larger groups can be accommodated but may have to be separated between boats. Enquiries and bookings can be made through the website.
