Visit this unique star-shaped military fortress that has stood guard over Kinsale harbour for over three hundred years.
A good example of an urban tower house, the castle consisits of a keep with storehouses to the rear and domestic offices on the first and second floors.
Located opposite Charles Fort, it has a commanding position guarding the small harbour of Kinsale. This fort was built in 1607 and was captured in 1690 by Williamite forces.
