Witch’s Hill Tearooms based in the centre of the Oldcastle town. Pop in for a cuppa and a chat. They specialise in tea and treats, whether you want a dainty tea cup or a builder’s mug they have it all here at Witch’s Hill.

Witch’s Hill Tearooms can be found on Cogan Street in the heart of Oldcastle. It’s a quaint little spot with lots of comfy couches and quirky corners where you can watch Pauline bake while you eat. They would like to believe that their original chocolate biscuit cake recipe is the best in the country, but maybe you should be the judge of that. Think fresh scones straight out of the oven dripping in butter and homemade strawberry jam and you have the picture. This is a watch the world go by kind of place, they don’t do rush there; you need to take your time over our coffee to appreciate it.

Witch’s Hill are traditional here at the Tearooms so while your delicious lunch is being prepared browse through the collection of vintage cookery books, chances are they are using one of those recipes to prepare your lunch. Take a look at the tree sculpture which doubles as a door, have a quick guided history lesson in the heritage room which is painted with wall to wall murals explaining the stories, legends and introducing you to the people from the past who make this little town great.

After your relaxing meal, a catch up on the local gossip with Pauline and Margaret you will be well prepared for whatever else the centre of the universe has to offer you.
